Water Resistance
Archive references were rated at manufacture for stated conditions. Gaskets and seals degrade over time. We recommend pressure testing every 24 months if the piece is worn near moisture. Unless explicitly noted on the archive note, avoid swimming, showering, or steam exposure.
Service Intervals
Mechanical movements benefit from complete service every 4–6 years, depending on wear environment. During service, the maison documents condition, replaces consumables, and re-regulates the calibre. Contact atelier@jrhegel.com to arrange assessment.
Authenticity
Each archive edition carries maison records: reference number, production tranche, and case-back inscription where applicable. Third-party appraisal is welcomed; the atelier provides archive confirmation for registered owners upon request. J.R.Hegel® does not operate a secondary-market desk.
Storage
Store in a dry environment, away from magnetic fields and direct sunlight. For extended periods, maintain the movement with occasional manual winding or a quality winder at low torque.
